The core aspects of International Law highlight the fact that the good order and stability of nations depends upon principles which have been rooted in the Catholic faith for centuries.  Indeed, viewed in this light, law promotes the human dignity of every individual and the protection of the environment in which we live.  Therefore, bringing a Catholic conception of International Law into the lecture-theatre is not that difficult a task.  Another facet of the discussion which I shall also address is that it is not only the substance of what is taught but HOW it is taught that is of utmost importance. This is where the personal aspect of the particular lecturer come in, and this is where, I believe, in our role as lecturers, we can each show we are Christians in a secular world.
